Stabbing confirmed

Invercargill: Police have confirmed a person was stabbed in south Invercargill last Thursday.

A spokeswoman said police were notified at 8.53pm of an assault in Martin St.

One person was injured in an apparent stabbing.

Inquiries were continuing and no arrests had been made at this stage, the spokeswoman said.

St John did not attend the incident.
