Firearms registration progressing

The Oamaru police authorities are doing quite a business in registering firearms in accordance with regulations recently gazetted, which provide that notification of the possession of all arms of whatever nature must be made to the police before the end of this month (reports the Oamaru Mail). Already about 100 registrations have been made, but Sergeant Simpson is of the opinion that there must be many sporting guns that have not yet been reported. — ODT, 20.1.1921.
