Fisherman’s body found

Auckland: The body of a fisherman reported missing last August has been found in Auckland.

Police said they identified the body of 33yearold Philippines national John Planas after it washed up on a beach at Ponui Island last weekend.

Planas, whose death has been referred to the coroner, went missing while kayak fishing off Duder Regional Park on August 30 last year. — RNZ
