Cricket: A dramatic batting collapse has cost the Sydney Thunder a chance to lock in a BBL finals spot in a sixrun loss to Adelaide Strikers.

Kiwi Thunder quick Adam Milne bowled a record 20 dot balls and claimed one for six from four overs at Adelaide Oval on Sunday to play a lead role in restricting the Strikers to 159 for six.

In reply, the Thunder was cruising at 71 for one after nine overs, but failed to cash in on its positive start and fell six runs short. — AAP
