Korda in scorching form

Golf: Jessica Korda etched her name into the record books yesterday carding an 11under par 60 in the third round of the Tournament of Champions at Lake Buena Vista, Florida, for the joint secondbest round in LPGA history.

The 27yearold American, just the fifth in LPGA history to card a 60, started the round with backtoback birdies before turning up the heat on the back nine, where she had seven birdies and drained a 5.5m putt for eagle on 17.

Korda is the eighth player ever to shoot an 11under par at an LPGA tournament, two strokes behind the record low 13under shot by 10time major winner Annika Sorenstam in 2001. — Reuters
