28 hui so Muslims can discuss report
WELLINGTON: The Government is beginning a nationwide series of hui this weekend on the royal commission of inquiry report on the Christchurch mosque attacks.
The first three of the 28 hui, in Wellington tomorrow, are for all Muslims.
They aim to address questions about the report, the Government’s response, and how the community can engage with that.
However, there was scepticism that the hui were being rushed, had not been designed with Muslim community input and could end up being superficial.
In some cases, people had been given only a few days’ notice to respond to invitations issued by the Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet. — RNZ
