Person dies suddenly

Wanaka: A helicopter appears to have been used to search for a person in the Albert Town area late at night on Thursday. Residents reported hearing a helicopter flying about the area about 10pm.

Shortly after midnight that night police found a person who had died suddenly in Albert Town, a police spokesman said . There was nothing to indicate the death was anything other than a medical event, he said.
