Police

WITH so much unrest in various countries around the world, it is disturbing to see the police or military en masse arresting, sometimes brutally, the citizens who are protesting about some issue.

Do these men or women in uniform have no similar grievances with their governments or politicians that they blindly obey their leaders’ demands to subjugate the protesters? It smacks of the chilling excuses of the Nazi war criminals: ‘‘I was only following orders.’’
