Arrests over gun incident

Invercargill: Two men have been arrested after a gun incident in Invercargill at the weekend, police say.

A spokeswoman said officers carried out two warrants in Lorn St in Glengarry about 5pm on Sunday, as part of an ongoing investigation.

A 21yearold man and 35yearold man were arrested. They would appear at Invercargill District Court this week facing firearms charges.

No further details of the incident were given.
