Johnson triumphs again at Saudi Internatio­nal

RIYADH: Dustin Johnson held his nerve to win the Saudi Internatio­nal for the second time in three years and extend his lead at the top of the world golf rankings.

The American, who was also runnerup in 2020, carded his worst round of the tournament yesterday with a twounder 68 at Royal Greens Golf Club, managing only three birdies.

Johnson finished the tournament at 15 under par, two shots ahead of Justin Rose and Tony Finau.

Scotland’s Calum Hill eagled the parfive 18th to tie for fourth with France’s Victor Perez in the PGA European Tour tournament.

Ryan Fox, of New Zealand, shot a 68 on the final round to finish one stroke back, along with Tyrrell Hatton, of England, Viktor Hovland, of Norway, and Denmark’s Rasmus Hojgaard. — Reuters
