Infrastructure work to begin
WANAKA: Three more Queenstown Lakes District Council infrastructure projects are due to start in Wanaka this month.
They include an upgrade of the Rotary playground on the Stoney Creek end of Roys Bay Recreational Reserve, sealing and safety improvements to the Aubrey Rd cycleway and a new public toilet to replace the old one at the Peter Frazer park in Lake Hawea.
Wanaka ward councillor Quentin Smith said the three projects were in addition to the development of stage three of the Wanaka lakefront plan, which had started, and the upgrade of sewerage services to north Wanaka along Beacon Point Rd and Lismore St.
