Everton wins thriller; Man City sets record
LIVERPOOL: Everton has advanced to the FA Cup quarterfinals after edging Tottenham Hotspur for a thrilling 54 extratime win at Goodison Park.
A 97thminute goal from substitute Bernard put the game to bed for Everton, which continues to push for its first FA Cup triumph since 1995.
Meanwhile, Manchester City breezed past Championship side Swansea for a 31 win which made English football history.
The victory broke the English football record for the longest winning run in all English competitions, with 15 successive victories for the Manchester side.
The previous record of 14 wins in a row was held by both Preston and Arsenal.
