Wilson named captain of Northern Stars
Netball: Silver Ferns shooter Maia Wilson has been named captain of the Northern Stars for this year’s ANZ Premiership.
Wilson is the last remaining foundation player left on the Stars roster and assumes the captaincy after being part of the leadership group last year. New signings Gina Crampton and Anna Harrison will join Wilson in the Stars leadership group, midfielder Crampton making the move north from the Southern Steel and defender Harrison coming out of retirement having last played for the Northern Mystics in 2018.
