Vehicle strikes pole

Owaka: A driver was flown to hospital after crashing into a power pole near Clinton yesterday afternoon.

A police spokeswoman said they were called to a singlevehicle crash, in Owaka Valley Rd, about 2pm.

The person driving the vehicle, who was the sole occupant, was in a serious condition and was flown to Dunedin Hospital.
