Cricket: India suffered a batting collapse and slumped to 156 for six but even so its overall lead swelled to 351 at lunch on day three of the second test against England in Chennai yesterday.
India’s spinners had wreaked havoc on a dustbowl on day two and skittled out England for 134, Ravichandran Ashwin taking five for 43 to give India a 195run firstinnings lead.
Wicketkeeper Ben Foakes topscored for England with an unbeaten 42 to ensure it avoided the followon. — Reuters
