Surf to City entries open

INVERCARGILL: Entries are now open for this year’s Invercargill City Council Surf to City.

It is Southland’s largest participation event, regularly attracting about 3000 walkers, runners, and cyclists.

Run by Sport Southland, the event will be held on Sunday, March 14.

Sport Southland chief executive Brendon McDermott said the ICC Surf to City was one of the region’s key community events, and as such, had enjoyed a long history of popularity.

‘‘We love that so many of our community are keen to get in and give this great event a go.

‘‘We especially love seeing families being active together, and the smiles on faces as they cross the finish line.’’
