French coach has Covid19

Rugby: France’s rugby coach Fabien Galthie has tested positive for Covid19 during the Six Nations tournament and will be isolating for a week.

The French Rugby Federation yesterday said Galthie and another staff member had tested positive.

‘‘They will continue to carry out their activities remotely,’’ the federation said.

France’s Six Nations squad is now in isolation. Further tests will be carried out in Paris today, tomorrow and Saturday.

France, who are leading the Six Nations standings with with two straight wins over Italy and Ireland, are due to face Scotland on February 28.
