To the point
EXTENDING heartfelt thanks and congratulations to our awesome Dunedin Pacific communities for hosting such a beautiful event on Saturday. The Moana Nui Festival was a great success and should be repeated every year. It was a showcase of the rich, cultural diversity present in this great little city. Well done to the organisers — talofa lava, bula vinaka, fakaalofa lahi atu, fakatalofa atu, kia orana, malo e lelei, malo ni, and warm Pacific greetings to you all.

A HIGH achiever and a knight. Sir Ian Taylor must now prepare for his next important assignment: winning election as mayor of Dunedin.

THE absence of veal on the market (Letters, 8.2.21) is caused by the minimal profit to the farmer. Most of our prime beef reaches its most profitable age at 18 months. The best beef is at about 2.53 years. However, again, the economics (for many reasons) are not good for the farmer.
