Brisbane siege resolved

Brisbane: A 25hour siege has ended in southern Brisbane after an armed man was arrested by police, who also freed a woman and a boy.

The standoff began when police investigating serious offences visited a duplex home near Banoon train station at Sunnybank about 11am on Thursday. The man is understood to be related to the woman and boy.
