Queensland border shut

Wellington: New Zealand arrivals to Queensland will now have to undergo quarantine.

The ‘‘green flights’’ allowing unrestricted travel ceased last night when New Zealand was removed as a safe travel country.

‘‘Unfortunately, over the past few days New Zealand has been recording some new positive cases, which is why we are closing the border,’’ Queensland’s chief health officer Jeannette Young said.
