Sand scoured from St Clair

The storm in the early part of the week, coming with spring tides, has left its mark only too plainly on the beach at St Clair, and washed loads of sand out to sea again. In the words of Mr Hancock: “It has taken out all the loose sand that had accumulated around the groynes and leaves us where we were three months ago.” The heavy seas have been at the sandhills again, but no serious damage has been done, though
