Nationhood celebrated
Mexican Air Force planes perform a demonstration after the raising of the flag of Mexico on Flag Day and the 200th anniversary of the enactment of the Iguala Plan yesterday in Iguala, Mexico.
President Lopez Obrador invited Argentinian President Alberto Fernandez to be part of the celebrations.
On February 24, 1821, the Plan de Iguala was promulgated as the final stage of Mexico's War of Independence from Spain, recognising Mexico's independence. On the same date, the first Mexican threecoloured flag was tailored.
