Allied Press award finalists
Otago Daily Times chief reporter Debbie Porteous (editorial executive of the year) and Shaun Yeo (cartoonist of the year) have been named as finalists in the 2021 Voyager Media Awards.
Allied Press community titles dominated the community newspaper of the year category with the Mountain Scene (Queenstown), The Star
(Dunedin) and the Oamaru Mail
announced as three of the five finalists.
Oamaru Mail’s Ruby Heyward is a finalist for student journalist of the year and for best firstperson essay or feature. Miss Heyward’s entries were under the Stuff banner.
