A consistent speed limit would be better

THE suggestion of a blanket speed limit of 50kmh for the greater area of Wanaka is exactly what is needed (Letters, 13.4.21).

With five roads into town, the 50kmh limit should start at: the bridge over the Cardrona River on SH6, Albert Town bridge, Ruby Island Rd, cnr Cardrona Valley and Studholme Rds, and cnr Ballantyne and Riverbank Rds.

Less than 50kmh in a couple of key areas.

This would be safer and less confusing.
