To the point
GOOD to see Andrew Whiley offering more ideas about improving our Dunedin bus services (ODT, 6.9.21). I support his concept and suggestions. A few extra little route tweaks could also help, such as the Ridge Runner passing a bit closer to the city centre at some point, so travellers don’t need to change buses to get there. Mike Cowell

NEW Zealand radio has lost its most intelligent, wellread and wellmannered talkback host with Peter Williams’ departure from Magic Radio over the weekend. This, in my opinion, is a significant loss for freedom of speech in New Zealand and with the planned introduction of a new ‘‘hate speech’’ law; the opportunities for righteous indignation and conservative opinion will soon be deemed punishable.
