Gym academy seeks funds

THE Dunedin Gymnastic Academy needs a new facility to be about 50% larger than the Dunedin and Taieri rugby clubrooms, Dunedin city councillors have been told.

The academy is run out of warehouse space in the city, but is looking for a new site where it can set up.

It has asked the council for $65,000 to help cover rent and for a oneoff $30,000 grant to investigate and design a new facility.
