Brendan James Cruden (38), 10 thefts — New World Winton and New World Gore, September 18; Spotlight Dunedin, September 21 and 22; Noel Leeming Dunedin Central, Mitre 10 Mosgiel and Mitre 10 Dunedin, September 23; Gardens New World and Dunedin Central New World, September 24; BP Edgeware, Christchurch, October 4 (and associated charge of aggravated assault); 17 months’ imprisonment. Cruden charged alone September 24 and October 4 offences, charged with another or others on all other matters.
Finn Smith (20), of Dunedin, aggravated disqualified driving, drugimpaired driving, Market St, March 10 last year; aggravated disqualified driving, Andersons Bay Rd, March 26 and April 9, and Kaikorai Valley Rd, May 11; aggravated disqualified driving, aggravated failing to stop for police, and dangerous driving, Forbury Rd, May 25; possessing cannabis for supply,
Dunedin, October 22; breaching supervision, Dunedin, April 17; 350 hours’ community work, 15 months’ intensive supervision, disqualified three years (backdated to begin June 22 last year).
