Noise control officer assaulted

Oamaru: A noise control officer was assaulted in Oamaru last week.

The officer was dealing with a disorderly event on Wednesday in Lynn St, Oamaru North, when he was assaulted.

Senior Constable Ross Lory said an Oamaru man had been charged with assault and was due in the Oamaru District Court on June 1.

The noise control officer did not require medical treatment.
