Crash involves power pole

Invercargill: Five people were injured and a power pole was damaged after a car was Tboned between Invercargill and Wallacetown yesterday. The collision happened at the intersection of the WallacetownLorneville Highway (SH99) and Steel Rd, about 4.30pm.

A Fire and Emergency New Zealand spokesman said the lines company was notified as a power pole was hit by one of the cars. A police spokeswoman said four people received minor injuries and one person was moderately hurt. The road was blocked until the lines were made safe and the cars had been towed.
