Your stock-handling needs are covered by Fred’s Fencing

-

FRED DOHERTY sourced some steel stockyards for the local rodeo club about seven years ago, and they proved so popular with the club members that he continued importing them on his own account and Fred’s Fencing was born.

The stockyards are a fantastic temporary or permanent option, being easy to assemble and extremely cost effective. A small setup can take as little as 40 minutes to put together. They are freestanding, so there’s no need for posts, and they can be easily adapted to suit your requirements.

Fred has displayed the yards at a number of trade shows, including the past six South Island Field Days, the Otago Field Days at Palmerston, Wanaka, Maniototo, and even at Agfest on the West Coast.

‘‘I enjoy getting out and meeting people, and between the shows and delivery trips, we get to see a fair bit of rural South Island,’’ he says. ‘‘The equine community have caught on also, and I have sold orders for roundpens and horse yards all over New Zealand.’’

Clients love how easy to assemble they are and also how easy it is to change the shape or layout of a setup to fit a particular space.

Fred offers two weights of yard I enjoy getting out and meeting people, and between the shows and delivery trips, we get to see a fair bit of rural South Island.❜ _ Fred Doherty panels with matching swinging gates, sliding gates, personnel gate panels, and a loading ramp is also available to complete the setup. All components can be purchased individually, and Fred can assist with drawing up a plan to suit your needs and budget.

All products are now hotdipped galvanised. The products are ideal for permanent and temporary cattleyards, runoff blocks, dairy grazing blocks, or lease blocks.

Fred also has security fence panels, which can be used for chook runs, dogexercise areas, and offalhole surrounds, as well as the more usual use around construction and building sites.
