Ford has revealed that its new thirdgeneration Everest SUV (below), due for launch here shortly, will comprise three variants and two engine choices. The entrylevel Trend will be powered by a 2.0litre fourcylinder biturbodiesel engine, delivering 154kW and 500Nm. The midspec Sport and flagship Platinum will pack a 184kW/600Nm punch courtesy of a 3.0litre V6 turbodiesel. All variants will deploy a 10speed automatic transmission to drive all four wheels, and will be rated to tow 3500kg.
