VLADIMIR Putin must definitely be in the running to get a Nobel Prize.

He has singlehandedly pushed Europe towards green energy faster than even Greta Thunberg could have imagined, increased the defence spending hugely in Germany and throughout Nato, strengthening it more than many would have thought possible, even adding previously neutral Finland and perhaps Sweden as well, and exploded the myth of what a great military machine Russia has.

What a huge accomplishment for a single person.
