Probe of fatal Tesla crash

Washington: A special crash investigation has been opened into a fatal Tesla crash this month in California that resulted in three deaths, the United States transportation safety agency said yesterday.

The crash of a 2022 Tesla Model S is one of more than 30 under investigation by the US National Highway Traffic

Safety Administration involving Tesla vehicles in which advanced driver assistance systems such as Autopilot were suspected of being used.

On May 12, a Tesla Model S crash killed three occupants and injured three workers when it struck construction equipment. — Reuters
