NZ batters have field day

Cricket: The Black Caps batters got some decent practice in their warmup game against Sussex in Hove yesterday.

At stumps on day two, after the first day was abandoned, the New Zealanders were 342 for three, with four players having retired.

Openers Tom Latham (65) and Will Young (55) played with composure, Michael Bracewell and Tom Blundell each scored 51, and Otago’s Hamish Rutherford scored 31 batting at No 3.
