Pet store under scrutiny

THE SPCA has launched an investigation into a Dunedin pet store, which has become surrounded in controversy online.

Scales, Feathers, Fins and Fur located in King Edward St, South Dunedin, has had concerns raised about it regarding the welfare of animals in store.

SPCA inspectorate team lead Jamie Hancock said the SPCA was investigating the claims and was unable to comment further at this time.

Store owner Amelia Seales has previously denied the claims against her. She could not be reached for comment yesterday.
