THE ESSENTIAL Summer’s assortment of sharp, ESSENTIAL styles in Micromodal and Microjersey puts function back into fashion.

HE MAGIC IS IN THE FABRIC is the reigning mantra of all the ESSENTIAL styles. The fabric is easy care, crease and pill free and colour fast, making them the perfect partners for women who travel, or those who like to avoid clothes that are high maintenance. The fabrics were created by two mills in Italy who have mastered the balance of Lycra and knit formations. For example, Micromodal absorbs more moisture from the body than cotton, making it ideal for climates where coolness is paramount. With this in mind it is also the perfect fabric for the woman who was not born yesterday. Microjersey is a bullet proof fabric that never creases, shrinks or requires ironing. Both are ideal for women who embrace EASE in their personal style.

Key rules to follow: RULE ONE:

Trend is not important. You must dress in clothes you love. RULE TWO: Don’t let old and outdated ways of dressing dictate the way you dress now. Be creative as you grow older to avoid looking matron like. When in doubt, get advice from experienced clothing retailers.

RULE THREE: When in doubt about your ability to put clothes and accessories together, remember this; YOUR STYLE WILL EVOLVE if you truly study women on the street and the styling photographed creatively in magazines. When you see something you like, tear the page out and work it out. Beautiful looks are not over thought or complicated. Usually they are under styled and quite simple like a choker on a deep v neckline or a roman sandal with a soft as air chiffon maxi skirt. Or it may be a pretty floral skirt with a denim jacket and diamond brooch.

RULE FOUR: We all suit different things. Your style will be different than your best friend’s so be influenced by women who are similar to you. These are the two fits in Essential tops in Micromodal. The long singlet on the left is Slim Fit and thus snug on the body, Easy Fit styles (see right) skim the body. Similar in style but not quite the same fit; eg a Slim Fit MEDIUM and an Easy Fit SMALL.
