TO CELEBRATE OUR SWIMWEAR and accessories collection, this summer’s shoot was again shot on the beautiful beach at Matarangi. A beach shoot also provides variety for creativity. Kylie Bax (the esteemed Face of our brand) is originally from the nearby Thames area, so we invited local restaurateur and surfer, Lukas Reilly to join us on the beach. Luke’s Kitchen on Kuaotunu beach has become a Coromandel icon, and features annually in the Lonely Planet Guide. (see story page 54) We celebrate the launch of our new swimwear collection of 13 styles, with coordinating wraps, sarongs and skirt pants. These swimsuits have been designed to create beautiful bodies. All styles use Italian made, high-tech microfibre fabric to cinch and visually enhance the waist. We have been test driving (so to speak), our swimwear for three summers now. All agree it is easier to find a style that suits, more so than in most other swimwear collections which almost reduce you to fitting room tears. The appeal of the fabric with its ability to slim, trim and flatter is a key factor. Don’t discount the ability some swimsuits have of doubling as body suits under a suit jacket or as a top with flowing evening pants and skirts. Pages 57 and 60 are fine examples of multi-taskers for travel.
