This game will be highest level of netball Te Aroha has ever seen and district-wide support is needed to show the Waikato BOP Magic what small town support is made of.

Te Aroha Event Centre Charitable Trust chairperson Paul Williams is excited to have an event such as this staged in Te Aroha and the trust and Matamata-Piako District Council have been working with the Magic franchise to make it happen.

‘‘The Silver Fern Farms Te Aroha Events Centre is a perfect location and venue for sporting and cultural activities because of its central location and accessibility.

‘‘Hopefully this [netball event] will be the first of more to come,’’ Williams said.

With the winter sport season approaching the Silver Fern Farms Te Aroha Events Centre is already taking bookings with basketball moving it’s winter league into the centre.
