Playing Berkley Intermediate 3rds at home on the Morrinsville College grounds, Morrinsville batted first and started strongly finding the boundary with ease.
Fine striking by Richie Gemmel to knock up his first 50 runs, Will Hutchings (39) and Nathan McQuoid (32) all contributed solidly to help post 215 for 4.
The bowling was tight and fielding efforts were sharp with the lads cutting off boundaries to keep the Berkley chase to a slower rate.
