Chase pair arrested

Two people were arrested yesterday after a police chase near Kawerau. The driver of a black Subaru on SH2 at Matata allegedly failed to stop for police about 11.20am. Road spikes were deployed and the vehicle was abandoned on a forestry road. Two people fled and were arrested. Charges are likely.
