‘Summer ice’ warning

Bay of Plenty and Taupo¯ police are reminding people to take care travelling on the roads. After a fortnight of dry weather and rain forecasted for the next couple of days, “summer ice” can form on the road. Dust, dirt and oil can build up in dry spells and, when mixed with rain, can make roads slippery.
