Monday: Here Come the Judge - National Youth Jazz Competitio­n judges lead by Dr Rodger Fox on trombone and featuring Eilish Wilson (sax), Dave Wilson (sax), Ben Wilcock (keys) with legendary rhythm section of Max Stowers (bass) and Mickey Ututaonga (drums) at Baycourt Community and Arts Centre from 8pm to 9.30pm. Monday: Matariki, Tupua¯rangi and Advocacy Science. The Department of Conservati­on teams up with Forest and Bird for two new and unique presentati­ons. From 7pm to 8.45pm at Tauranga Yacht & Power Boat Club. Free.

Monday-tuesday: 44th National Youth Jazz Competitio­n at Baycourt Community and Arts Centre, from 8am both days. Full day pass $19.
