Road victims mourned

-

Yesterday was the Worldwide Remembrance Day for Road Traffic Victims. An event was held at Orewa Beach reserve last night to remember those killed and to thank emergency services for their help. According to Ministry of Transport figures, 332 people have died on our roads this year. Brakes NZ director Caroline Perry said the day was also a chance for those close to the victims to grieve. The charity saw the impact crashes had on friends and families of victims, she said.
