Union rejection

-

Primary and area school teachers have voted to reject Education Ministry offers to settle collective agreements. NZEI union members have been meeting over the past two weeks, to discuss and vote on the offers. The union says the offers don’t meet the rising cost of living, or address concerns around classroom ratios, funding for learning support and work demands. Union president Liam Rutherford, says they’ll be going back to the Government and sharing their frustration.
