Doping allegation

Harness racing: Two men have been charged, after a horse was allegedly administered a prohibited substance on the morning of Christchurch’s Cup Day. Rakero Rebel was a late scratching from Race 7 at Addington on November 8. The horse was removed under a harness racing rule covering animals that have had, or may have had, a prohibited substance. The Racing Integrity Board has charged two men with three infringements of Harness Racing New Zealand’s rules.
