Forestry fundraiser

More than $40,000 was raised for a mental health initiative for the forestry industry at a charity auction dinner held in Rotorua on November 18. Opened by Rotorua mayor Tania Tapsell, the charity auction was part of New Zealand’s first Fast and Forward Forestry Expo. It will help the Forest Industry Contractors Association to set up a programme to support the mental wellbeing of those working within the forestry industry.
