Money fears revealed

A survey has found concerning results about how New Zealanders feel about their financial wellbeing. The Payments NZ survey found a quarter wouldn’t be able to make a surprise expense payment and more than a third are unsatisfied with their savings. It also found almost nine in 10 are worried about their financial data being hacked. General Manager of Strategy Janerenee Retimana says that’s consistent with their other surveys. She says when it comes to people’s money they want to be sure the products and services they’re using are safe.
