Gun shop hit in ram raid

Businesses neighbouring Christchurch’s Gun City are wondering how offenders managed to ram raid the shop, given its extreme security measures. An air rifle, paintball gun and ammunition was stolen from the store about 2.30am yesterday. Police said four offenders used a stolen Mazda Demio to access the store, before taking off in a black Subaru Forester. A police spokesman said they were following strong lines of inquiry.
