Joel at Eden Park
The drought of international artists playing at Auckland’s Eden Park has been broken. Billy Joel has become the first foreign star to take to the venue’s stage since Covid... drawing a crowd of 35,000 to his show on Saturday night.
Eden Park’s chief says the 30000 staff who worked were overjoyed to host the piano man. Nick Sautner says he’s sure many more artists will follow - because Joel’s team were delighted with the reception they received. He says it was warming to hear those comments from the band, managers and production team.
