Call to expand vaccine

The Meningitis Foundation says Meningococ­cal B vaccine eligibilit­y should be widened much further. Until now, it was only available to those aged 13-25 years living in close-contact places, like halls of residence. From next March , Pharmac is extending it to babies under 12 months. Foundation chairman Gerard Rushton says atrisk teens living in areas like Northland will qualify.
